As a class, we agreed that we can find the slope of a line from the graph by looking at the rise (up/down) over the run (across). We agreed that we can use positive and negative to tell us if the line is going up or down. We are still in disequilibrium about how to represent this symbolically.
We started exploring how we can use a table to determine the slope. We found that we could see the rise in the table by looking at the difference between the y values. We could see the run in the table by looking at the different between the x values.
